Approach

Designing bespoke strategies of superior quality requires mastery of a comprehensive range of technically advanced tools and methodologies.

We use a wide array of tools and methods for various types of analyses and for designing strategies. Our toolbox is continually perfected, based on in-house research, practical experience and scientific publications.

Client projects can typically be divided into three phases:

  • The first two weeks of a new project will be used to analyse the most relevant aspects of the challenges faced by the business and to clarify the entrepreneurial ambition.
  • Next, initial versions of up to four options will be configured. Each option will rest on a separate set of assumptions and be capable of reaching our client’s ambition. Subsequently, in-depth analyses will be carried out to test key assumptions and simulate both wanted effects and unwanted side-effects. Models or prototypes may be created to facilitate choosing one or two options. The second phase can usually be completed within 40 days.
  • As soon as a preliminary investment decision has been taken, the shortlisted options will be fully configured, i.e. measures and targets will be specified and quantified. As a result, a roadmap, milestones and budgets will emerge. This third phase will usually require some 20 days.

Change is rarely welcomed with open arms. In fact, project managers, customers and business partners often prefer to preserve familiar structures and processes, even in the face of obvious dysfunctionalities. Anticipating barriers to change, and designing appropriate programmes is therefore a key ingredient for achieving the ambitions of our clients.
